Mission Statement

At Entry Level Mums, our mission is to create a supportive and empowering space for women navigating the complexities of motherhood. Through candid conversations, expert insights, and shared experiences, we aim to shed light on the unfiltered realities of being a mum—whether it’s the joys of pregnancy, the challenges of postpartum depression, or the balancing act of work and family life. We are dedicated to facilitating honest dialogue where no topic is too tough to tackle and no experience is too small to be shared. With a blend of humour, empathy, and practical advice, our podcast offers a platform for mothers to feel heard, understood, and less alone in their journey. We believe that by sharing our stories, we can support and uplift one another at every stage of motherhood.

Known for her honesty, Sawiya isn’t afraid to tackle tough conversations with a serious, thoughtful approach, while her sense of humor shines through, making her both relatable and engaging. Her blog on post-partum depression opened the door to exploring difficult yet important topics, and she continues to be a voice for mothers who need support, guidance, and a place to feel understood.

How We Met

Nasra and Sawiya initially connected through social media, where they had been following each other for a while without knowing each other personally. They started chatting about motherhood on social media, sharing tips and stories along the way. When Sawiya was brainstorming for her next blog post on post-partum depression, a topic that both women felt strongly about, she thought Nasra would be the perfect person to interview. Their deep and heartfelt conversation sparked the idea for the Entry Level Mums podcast. After months of planning, they took a leap of faith, and as the podcast grew, so did their friendship, bonding over their shared experiences and goals.
